My brother free lance works for towboat us. Guy who owns va beach franchise goes to our church. And we don't even get a discount. So good luck with getting a discount from them

I think we pay like 120or 130 a year with them. With unlimited tow. Don't get no cheapwr than that.

Their normal advertised rate is a steal if you ask me.

Seatow usually offers a slightly discounted rate at the boat shows. Swing though their booth and say hi.

So far I have been towed in twice (friends boat, not mine, he gets towed 2 or 3 times a year, I keep waiting for them to cancel his policy ) both times we used Seatow and they were professional and very competent both times.

One was from 27 miles out on stellwagon bank, in 4 and 5 footers. We were very happy to see the bright yellow boat that day.

I have been towed by Sea Tow once and Boat U.S. once. Both were good experiences. Sea Tow pulled me in from 10 miles offshore in my 18' Wellcraft, was solid 4 footers on the tow in. The bill for that tow alone would have paid for years and years of service.

might want to see who has a better track record in your area. i signed up with boat us because the policy follows me , not the vessel, and we take the little whaler to scallop in st joe bay. come to find out, boat us does not cover st joe bay.

Seatow will follow you also. As long as you are on another boat, or running another boat Seatow will cover you. UNLESS, the owner of the boat is present and that person does not have coverage.

So, you borrow a buddies boat, Seatow will cover you, but if your buddy is there also and he doesn't have coverage, they won't cover you. Can't blame them for that, they don't want to pay for a nonmember.

Tell your buddy to hide in the cuddy and keep his mouth shut!
