easy way: loop the oil line around from the inlet side to the outlet side of the oil pump, disconnect the wires from the oil tank, oil pump sender and the oil alarm module, ditch the module.

next best way, remove the pump, pull the adapter out, pull the gear out, put the oil pump back on, ditch the sender and module.

Best way, order the oil pump block off kit from Mercury, follow their directions, ditch the electrical stuff.

The mercury kit fills the void left from the removal of the oil gear and adapter, ensuring equal crank case volume for better power and cylinder balance, It will also prevent the drive gear bushing from falling out(never seen it happen)
