I am just pissed that she didn't talk at all about small engines. Had she done some research as a journalist... She could have discovered a lot more. Instead, she relied on AAA.
Merc, Yamaha, Johnrude, Suzuki, anyone that has had to pay for the E-10 mess should be shouting from the rooftops. Someone please put the EPA on notice. They protect nothing but their jobs 99% of the time.
The end of corn subsidy in 2011 made ethanol a little better until you look a little deeper. No more subsidy necessary. The fix is already in. Guberment requires that 37 bagillion gallons be blended into the mix. So there is a built in demand for ethanol production from corn. Meanwhile, due to the heightened demand, the price of corn skyrockets some 400% so they aren't even talking about a subsidy anymore. Why bother, the subsidy would pale in comparison to the actual gains in selling price. Good if your a corn farmer, you just got a whole lot richer. Not so good for the environment, food supply or the consumer..
