Lets see what this new wiz-bang motor looks like... I'll forgo seeing it hung on the stern for now. You have a week...LOL
It's an outboard motor....kind of round on top, and narrower as it goes down from there...

Not likely to be on the boat till 1st full week of June or so.

Thanks for the interest in seeing pics. I'd rather see Ms Tropicana

You have it bad.

As for junkyards of motors, Friends brother just lost a 300 hour 115 4-stroke Yamaha. It happens.. Don't let Spare scare you off.
Is the HO the same weight as the 250 and the 300?

That's my comment...if yer gonna make the jump in weight, why not do in HP as well?...of course price is a concern, but the 225 and 250 is same weight as the 200HO...I BELIEVE...

Yer scuppers are gonna be submerged either way...your post re movin' batteries forward; it'll help, but won't cure it...

Answers to the questions as follows:

1. Jump in weight will be approx. 144 lbs..........not all that much.
When I have two guys in the back, I get no water from my deck drains, and approx. 2" in the V21 transom well......so, I don't expect to have a big issue.
Also, will use deck plugs if I do get water up from there..........

2. The Evinrude 3.3 liter 200HO is same block as their 225, and 250, so I suppose weight is the same. I'm buying the 200 HO because the V21 is rated for 200hp MAX.
( the 200 HO reportedly puts out 219 hp at the prop so this is great anyway )

3. What other questions ?
More pics of the girl ? Wasn't my posting - ask the other guy.

4. Genie Aye runs this same motor on his 88' V20 and reports all good things........great fuel economy, cruises 35-42 mph at no more than 4,000 rpm, tops over 52 mph.

I put deposit - now it's getting the 300 hour service etc, then in a tank to run for me, then if all good........ I drag it home for rigging .......and running !
Thanks
