spinning reels.....
penn reels all have a series, as in 4500ss or battle 6000 or spinfisher 750. is the number the size? i looked at the battle 7000 for a rod i need a reel for and it's a good size so if i go with the 750ss, is it the same size? or the spinfisher 750?

Should be, thats the case with every Penn reel Ive seen.....

The bigger the number the larger the spool but the x,000 series doesn't match exactly to the x,500 series reels. The 7500 is a pretty big reel. What kind of setup are you looking to build?
