LOOKS GOOOOOD!! Yeah had one of those little squid ink on the boat and got on my waterproof boat bag. Still have ink stains on it but it is something to remember that day by.

Once tried putting small squid caught in the castnet into the livewell........did not work out so well. I can imagine those bigguns are full of ink!

I had to drain a re fill my live well several time to keep it somewhat clean. I really hope I can get into some more of these next weekend, It was a lot of fun!

Awsome catch!!! The Ling are kind of a lazy fighiting fish but pull for the first 30 or 40 seconds how are the squid for a fight?

I would say they fight just about the same as a ling, BUT when you get them out of the water they give you a nice shower!

Looks like a good day on the water.

I have never caught a squid on a hook, but have reeled in several octupi...they just feel heavy on the line until they get to the boat, then they start squirting water and trying to wrap up everything.

I rather enjoy fried squid...I bet fresh caught is extra good.

Most of the time they go to the Sushi resturant but you have no idea how difficult negotiating price with an asian cook can be :)
