Default 1-10 How good are these motors?

I have a line on a boat with a trailer and a 1990 yamaha 150 on it.
The seller is asking $1000 for the whole rig. Thought it might be a good motor for my V

Also there are these http://houston.craigslist.org/boa/3428177653.html

add has changed... used to specify that they had not been started in 10 years

then there are also these http://houston.craigslist.org/boa/3427441240.htm

He has them on ebay also for only $1500

If I get a oil injected main engine I thought this would make a great kicker if he'll come down in price a little (it's beat up and spray bombed)

Also looking at some seat options... either this http://houston.craigslist.org/boa/3352476287.html
or these http://houston.craigslist.org/boa/3406819606.html

Any input greatly appreciated

Personally I do not like flip seats or pedastal seats. I would rather have a leaning post I can lean on or sit on. The two Black Max Mercs are a deal as long as they are not froze up. But they are probably 25" shafts. Ferm will know more than I especially on the Yammi.

I love Yamaha, but before 1994 they had steel shift rods that rot out!! I had one and BS had one, you have to remove the power head to replace, But there are some new two peice rods out there. New rod will be Stainless.
Not sure what you need to do to put a two piece rod in?? But the big issue with the hole rod is removing the power head, the bolts are rotted or corroded and will be a bear to remove with out breaking, in most cases.

I have had 70's Johnson's, 80's Evinrude, Yamaha, Mercury, 90's Yamaha, Mercury, 2004 Four stroke Yamaha, and my current 2002 Yamaha HDPI. I have to say the old Johnson and the Yamahas have been my best!
