Man I wish I could help in some way!!!! Pete one thing I can't stand is a thief!! I will come up and help with that problem. Im heading to chincoteague on the eastern shore of Virginia Friday. My girlfriends parents house is in ok condition the water tried to float his 20 ft Carolina Skiff away on the trailer and he said "hell no this storm aint taken my boat" and he ran out side and tied the boat off to a tree. He lost 90% of the pines in his yard. They got hit pretty dam hard also.

I'm with you I don't even know what to say/do looking at the aftermath of Sandy. At least you have the right to bare arms down there for the Looters!!!

Glad to hear from you, Pete!!...I saw a FB post from Michele so figured you guys were close to normal...sorry to hear about your dad's place...but he'll bounce back, I'm sure...Slinger...sounds like your brother took it harder than you...I just glad to hear you and yours OK though!!...

Anybody heard from Barnegat up there close to Parrot?...texted w/Parrot last night and heard pretty much what rb437 says...talked to Rob and he and his are good shape..gonna take some diggin' out for others...BRielly...any chance of getting your boat back, or do ya know yet?

All stay safe as you deal w/the new hazzards around up there...we're thinking about you...

I have 2 couples from the neighborhood staying with me since they lost everything. They had 6-7' in their houses, just 7 houses down from me. No power but i've got the generator and running it one hour on 3 hours off to keep the food fresh. siphoning fuel from the 60 in-floor tank in the steplift and also bought an additional 60 in gas caddies. place is a ghost town, almost everyone evacuated
Sounds like pretty trying times up there, Barnegat...but you made out pretty good!...and taking in your less fortunate neighbors...yer a good one, Buddy!!...Having and extra 60 or so gals of gas for the generators sitting in the boat...another good reason to have a boat!!...see how smart we are!!...
Y'all do well up there...

Good to hear on the reports of everyone ok. I am sad to hear about boats lost. Also make sure that YOU are the only one taking gas from your boat.

Glad that it seems most of the V-20 brethren faired ok even though immediate families seemed not so much.

It did occur to me this morning though that with all these breaches in the barrier islands what the heck is going to happen when we get a half way decent Nor'Easter this winter which you know is inevitable.

Willy just called...along the parkway close to Raritan, I BELIEVE he said, he described unimaginable devistation...Morgan Marina?...GONE...stacks of boats of all sizes PILED up against parkway bridge...I could hear the emotion in his voice describing the scene as he drove past all this...people walking around w/nowhere to go...He also voiced Rob's concern that if a typical NorEastern blows through w/out the barrier island and dune protection, it's gonna be BAD...

He just left the Bertram...he found it in a pile of other boats...sounded like the heavily constructed Bert got the best of some of the thinner hulls it came in contact with..but after all is said and done, he doesn't expect to recover his Senor Bert...his home and family are all OK and that's his greatest concern...but easy to tell his emotions ran thin as he decribed what he saw...now a part of the Hurricane Brotherhood...reaching from Galvatston, New Orleans, Charleston...and now the Jersey Shore...
