My little boat trip

yea I don't know where the water came in from, but I was shocked. After the storm me and my brother (who helps me do all of this till after my surgery and I loose weight so I can get in the boat and crawl around on the floor myself) cranked the motor and got nothing, so we kept priming the bulb and turning over the motor and still nothing, so I asked him to pull the brand new water separator off and hand it to me and i dumped it into a glass and it was pure water with a faint smell of gas. I had him put it back on and disconnected the fuel line to the engine and primed the bulb again to get fuel back to the empty water separator, after some time i hit water coming out of the line in my hand so I had him pull it off again, and dumped it again and still pure water, so had him put it back on and primed it again till i got water and hung the line off the back of the boat and just let gravity do it. and went inside. Kept checking it every 10 minutes till i went to bed. Next day I went outside to find that the stream had stopped, primed it and started to get gas/oil mix and gave thx to GOD. After hooking everything back up we started the engine and thought everything was OK and thats' when we took the boat for a test run and got stranded 3 football Fields away from the dock due to trash clogging up the lines. I pulled the fuel line off at the primer bulb and blew in the line going to the main gas tank. well it worked and made it back to the dock stalling every 30 seconds or so. but yea 2 gallons or more of water in the tank so today I am taking it to a friends house and we are going to drain the main tank, filter the gas and see if we can go fishing.

I will make sure we check for any leaks where the sending unit goes.
The air vent has the metal fitting on the side of the boat next to the gas cap with the holes facing down, so I doubt that is where the water got in. I will also check to see if the gas cap has a o ring installed.

I do know it rained so hard for 24hrs, that you couldn't see my house from my neighbors house across the street, he sent me pics of my house during the storm from his front door and I could barely make out my house. So that means that my boat filled with water faster than it could drain out and that means my main tank was totally submerged under water.
