I'm just going to bring my grill and stuff to cook on it. It takes a while to steam the seafood and I don't want to hold anybody up or get left in the dust. Still will have plenty of extra eats in any case.

The weather does look very good, which weather babe do you prefer MJ? I mean for her forecast accuracy of course!

My wife's B'day is the following Thursday and I'm going to try to sneak a cake aboard without her knowing it. We'll see how that works out.

Looking forward to seeing you guys, can't wait.

still not sure?? looking for wind direction? but really not sure, was thinking sandwich thur canal to Basset or Tempest or Taylor pt, thur canal for Barnstable? this way we can show off canal to all that have never been in the canal.
Or we can just launch and go?? What do you guys think? Barnstable is a early low tide at 12:30, Basset is at 11:15, never been to Basset, can you go there any tide? Or just at low, Barnstable I know you have a long tide if you get there early in the tide, I say 3 or 4 hours total? there is also better fishing there if anyone wanted to give it a go, Fluke and Bass

What do you guy's think?

Being that it is still up in the air as far as location keep in mind that I will have my boat in the water in East Falmouth...Green Pond. I dont have any problem throwing it on a trailer to do whatever but of course looking out for A number 1(that's me) it would be awesome to do the whole day in the water dock to dock.

But like I said dont let it throw a wrench in the works....I'll be where ever I need to be.

RW you can cut right thur Woods Hole and be at Bassets easy! I have made that trip a bunch of times from Tempest to the Vineyard. I am thinking more of Bassets if we can go there any tide, so we are not rushed. But Barnstable would have more fish if we wanted to do that, but there might be some Sea Bass on the west end.

Hey MB do you know if Bassets is a all tide spot, you have been there I have just drove by?

Started putting stuff in the boat today for the day! Grill, propane, foil, cleaned coolers, a couple of chairs if needed. Just have to put food, drink, ice now. Hope I have enough gas?? I just have a 110 gal tank

Here's my suggestion;

Since Rob Wilson is in E. Falmouth at Green Pond, I say we all meet just a little east of there in Waquoit Bay on Washburn Island. This way Rob can just motor out of GP and over inside Waquoit. The rest of us have several launch points to choose from. Tempest Knob, Taylor Point Marina, several in the Fairhaven area, Woods Hole, Green Pond or even Waquoit Bay itself has a ramp.
The fishing is good both inside the bay as well as outside for Stripers, Fluke, SeaBass, and Scup. Maybe even some Albies or Bonito.
The Bay is protected from the wind and we can raft or beach at Washburn Island during any tide. The swimming there is also very nice with sandy beaches.
There's my $.02

I 2nd that!! Never even thought about it till RW said he was at green pond! I think that would be perfect, especially since RW and MB are bring women and children. They can swim and all!
Sounds like a plan to me!!

How about Monkey Butler, and Road King? I am still trying to get Kenny to go?Its just a little ride thur Woods Hole!

Thanks CB !

Here is the chart for the area, you can see how close to Waquoit Bay is to Green Pond. Also even though its been a long time there is or was great fishing on the shools right out front or even a short trip to West Chop, East Chop, Middle Ground, ect...ect...

Well that obviously works for me!...that is REAL close. I've been on google earth for the last 2 weeks getting a lay of the land and had spotted Waquoit Bay and had planned on checking it out sometime over the weekend.

Lets see what the other 2 guys have to say....The only location that you guys talked about that was going to be a hike to and from by water was Barnstable (43 miles each way) and ending the day up there would have me with a long run at the end of the day. If that was where you picked I had pretty much made up my mind I would trailer over to that side.

I'm sure you guys can give me all the information on Saturday but I'm trying to come up with ideas for the family on Sunday. I was thinking either Cuttyhunk or Monomoy seems like a 20 mile and 30 mile run respectively....what's your guys opinion?
