Will do, I may get my first shot this weekend at J buoy. It holds some monster spadefish. Can you walk me through a simple float/buoy rig? You think that resident 10ft tiger shark out there will mess with me? I have a strange fear of getting my *** bit off! If I can get past that I'll be deadly.

I have swam in some of the nastiest gator and cotton mouth infested places before, I should be ok right?

Very straight forward and several ways to run it, this is prob the simplist. You will detach that line from the gun and splice it however you want into your floatline(Ive used 3/8" nylon but there are much better materials out there). At the end of your floatline is a bouy. Rig the smaller line just like it is now with the wraps but after you shoot, the gun is free. You can either sling the bands over your shoulder and tote it along, it will float if it comes off your arm, or you can clip it to the float line for extra drag.

Just make sure your floatline when you are finished hangs off the back of the gun and not the front, otherwise it will slow your movements by luggin that bouy around.

The best thing you can do is remain calm if that Tiger comes up. Dont start splashin, kickin, and racin for the boat cause it will excite him. There are a million videos of Tigers and people interacting, they arent all out for a kill.

Two things I told you to keep in mind: A fish knows when you are lookin at him, so does a shark, and makes them more reluctant to close the distance. Also watch those pec fins - straight out= relaxed and observant. Pecs pointed down= aggresive, on the feed - short, twitchy behavour means it time to go somewhere else

Lucky Jack - .......The Surprise is not old; no one would call her old. She has a bluff bow, lovely lines. She's a fine seaboat: weatherly, stiff and fast, very fast, if she's well handled. No, she's not old; she's in her prime.
