Didn't know Imron was still available but looks like it is.
25 years ago it was THE top of the line, most expensive and durable paint there was.
Personally if it is just old and chalky, I'd just clean with a degreaser of most any sort and use a paste wax easy to apply (Rain X makes a spray on) and see what happens.
If you don't like the outcome buff and wax and see.
I'd paint only as a last resort. One of the idiots that owned my boat did just that instead of cleaning and waxing and I'm having to strip, wet sand, buff and polish the locations cause the paint didn't take a good toe hold.
