Default Friday, June 8 Belmar, NJ report

Hum......... out shark inlet too late - bite right outside appeared to be tapering off on a tight pod of bunker. Saw 2-3 LARGE caught but most guys had none working the bunker.

Left 1/2hr later, found the huge pods off Asbury area. Nope, no takers.

Switched to seabassing and put meat in the box. Nice mess of keepers on clam, drifting and anchored.

Had lunch at the tie up restaurant ( forgot name) and saw Tom on his V20, then saw again out on the ocean.

Wind.....that was interesting - the marine forecast for WEST turned S, SE and I threw in the towel by 4pm. Reading a couple of charter reports on the Bass Barn that they crushed the bass same day. Amazing - all in location. I saw boats working the bunker from Belmar to the Highlands without action. That's why it's called fishing. Worked on my V today, so pretty it should be in a pageant.
