Default Trim tabs on V boat - absolutely !!

Today's run on the ocean in a good 2'-3' chop confirms - tabs greatly improve the ride.

I'm now able to run over 4,000 rpm into this type head sea condition without pounding.

The tabs make a bigger difference for the V than my previous Mako.

Wellcraft should have had tabs as a standard feature, not as optional equipment.

Bennett trim tabs - but size ? Already forgetting - 8 x 12 sport model sounds right.

Yea Ive been looking a little. Im gonna start looking pretty hot and heavy here for the next couple weeks. I hear nothing but good things about a v with tt's

i was a por guy back in the V days and never put them on, and always wished i could!! on the sea ox i have now i spoke with a guy and he old me a story from the owner from the sea ox factory.
He said back in the 80's he had a friend that sold boats and sea ox was doing demo's to dealers to sell there boats, so he went with his friend and watched them take a new sea ox and drop it off a fork truck with no problems, then they took the same boat put in water and gave all a ride. guy was so impressed he bought one!
but when he got it and went out it rode like crap?? he called sea ox and told them, they asked what are the trim tabs set at?? he said i did not get that option, owner said put tabs on and if not happy i will buy it back including the tabs. guy bought them and took boat out again sold the boat 18 years later!! after hearing that story i never ran mine with out them, they were the first thing i added, and boat is great!

i have been on greater boats for sure but this rides great, and i am happy with all my upgrades and she is very stable in the slop for me and mine!

I was " digging through the chop" on the ocean yesterday, bow down and throttle up between 4,000- 4,5000 rpm.

Engine trimmed all the way down - slicing and cutting through the waves that were mostly 2'- 3' with a couple of bigger sets every minute or so.

Could feel the boat torqueing through........... getting lousy fuel economy for sure, but those tabs kept it from pounding and slamming. That's the whole purpose of the tabs.
