Thinking about selling the V. Want to upgrade and can't keep 2 boats at my place. Not sure what a fair price is.
87 Hull Originally SeaDrive with sealed transom Stainless Marine Bracket Installed 150 Opti with 200 hours on it and 3 years left on warranty Items done within last 2 years as can be found on the forum: Floor Redone Fuel Tank and lines Electrical redone Cuddy deck recently redone New bilge Bimini Cushions recovered 2 1000 mca batteries VHF Thinking of selling without trailer as the trailer was from a 23 which is the size i'm looking to upgrade to. Keeping the GPS but the boat is wired for Garmin. Any thoughts? Pictures to follow although they are all over the forum. |

Wish I had money, I would LOVE to have a nice V with an OPTIMAX 150 on it. That is one sweet set-up.

Ideally a 23 walk around or center console. Wellcraft, Dusky, Mako are all prospectives. Prefer walk around with a hard top. Single Engine.
Still early on, but looking around. Think I forgot to mention SeaStar Hydraulic Steering on the V as well... Any clue on a fair price? |

Hard for me to say as I cant remember any sales recently with newer motor, especially one still with warantee.....$6500? Got to figure you can buy V-20's for $3500 and less all day long....whats it worth to someone to get 3 year warantee on that motor....hard to say. I would think at 6500 it would sell though....could defnitely list it higher if your not in a hurry and probably eventually find somebody willing to pay $7-8K maybe? On the other hand I may have no idea what the hell I'm talking about....there was that boat recently with the newer Yamaha in Florida that I think sold twice for a pretty decent number although I dont think either one admitted what they actually paid.

Rob makes some good points...one is how motivated to move it are you?...only you can determine that...you can look on NADA and put the Opti in to get a ballpark number for the motor only since it's of greater value than the hull...don't get too hung up on the number though...this just ain't a big boat market right now unless somebody comes along and gets the hots for yours...I get the feeling yer not too motivated as you suggest looking back thru the forum for pics...if I wanted to sell one, I post up some pics intentionally showing it from all angles...but that's just me...
Good luck w/it...

If you want to sell it even in Florida, wait for spring time to roll around. Fall and winter is when people pick up bargains as it really isn't the time of year most buyers buy. Like I said, I would LOVE to have her, just aint got no money right now

Thanks for the info guys. Just trying to get a feel for possible prices. Sounds like it's in line with what I was thinking.
With that said no rush on my part. Looking around to see what's out there as far as upgrade options. Worst case I can always dry dock it and park the other at the house while I get it ready. Looking around and working the gears. |
