I don't want to step on someones thread but I just want to coment on the old inline 6.Out of the box WOT is 5800 rpm.And for the merc 1500's you can bore the cylindars to .040 over .That equates to ovey a quater inch more displacement.There not called tower of power for nothing.I'll admitt there not easy on fuel
