Default New to the board with a few questions

Have a 1990 V20 with Alpha One/Engine 4 cyl 3.7 165 Mercruiser.
Questions:
- Trying to find out what the best replacement prop. would be, and what the pitch would need to be.
- Also, in need of a replacement power trim gauge that fits into the dash.
- Best place to purchase replacement parts for this V20 beside Ebay, and Craigs list?

Thanks to all

Welcome to the site.

I have a stock engine so I went with the "stock" prop, I think it called out for a 14.5 x 17, but I found a good deal on a Michigan steel 15x17 on ebay....

I think others may help you with your other questions...

The right prop is dependant on what you want to do with the boat. For all out speed, lighten the boat as much as possible and go with a higher pitch.. for pulling tubes and skiers, you want a lower pitch or maybe even a 4 blade prop. My point is it's impossible for us to guess at what prop is best for you since we are not you and don't know what you intend to use the boat for.

As a general prop, like RKC said, a 17p prop is just about right. 14.5" dia is stock, but you can go from a 14 to a 15 wiithout any problems... (Just make sure it clears your anti-ventilation plate)

As to best place to buy... eBay is tops in my book, but any dealer or marina should be able to get you what you are looking for.

Welcome to the site. Pull up a chair and stay a while. We love boat porn, so any pics of your boat that you care to share will be received warmly.
