I agree...you can have a self-bailing deck and solid transom...the problem is your choice of hulls to start with...to achieve self-bailing, the entire floor-deck would have to be raised above the outside waterline...and then you have quite a low gunwale inside the cockpit...it that doesn't bother you, go for it!!...
