It seems very high and top heavy, but it has to extend far behind the boat with an outboard. It appears to have a pulley on the port side near the front of that rig. He's probably sewed rings on the pocket to use a "lazy line". Once the doors clear the water you just pull the lazy line and just the pocket is lifted into the boat. It saves a lot of work by only letting the net out once and pulling it into the boat at the end of the day.
