Default freakin out 3 , stringers and deck

OMG - got the transom cleaned out and found the ends of the stringers.
One soft one not detected.
Cutting out back to first fish well.
Alittle anoyed with Mr. Hunt.
Removed bulkhead with my hand. It seems the fishwells just drain into the bottom. Seems like the fish wells should be connected with drains?
Any way trying to weigh the materials cost. The deck is glassed top and bottom... with another boat.
Don't really want to give up.....
Again worried about materials and my skills.....

Megan, like I said in my first post.. just take your time and stick with one thing at a time..otherwise the job will simply overwhelm you. You'll do fine.. The fact that you're even trying to do this job is a testament to you..

Or come and get my hull and then you only have to deal with the transom, plus you'll have a hull that is almost 20 years newer

Looks like from her earlier posting about keeping it in RI, she's up north. LA is probably a bit to far to pick up a project.

Hmmm... you're right on Hedge.. I remember her mentioning RI now that you mention it. Shame the thing doesn't come on a trailer.. we could set up a sort of relay... there's enough of us scattered between here and there that it wouldn't be all that hard...

Default Way Freakin out some more

I am in Virginia and an 1980 sounds good. But I do like the cuddy for protection. Mother Nature you know...
Sorry I haven't posted sooner. Been Busy stingers were bad. Removed 80% of the deck. After I heaved it over I had to have a glass of wine.
Now I am trying to figure the best way to fix the design drainage issues.
It they had fiber glassed the interior stringer better it just may have worked. The deep V looks cool with out the deck. Sure looks like a good place to but a gas tank vs the fish wells that seem to cause so many problems.
Think I want to get the book about Fiberglass Hull inspections to make sure I am good to rebuild this thing.
Finally hocked my engagement ring to get a motor.
Sorta sad may never have another nice diamond.
Salt Water Madness....
Megan

Not sure how to do this. Its Megan, I live in Virginia. If I take this boat to the bone yard I have a trailer. Old enough to not have brakes?
Today I investigated how far up I would have to cut the stringerz. Alas I think too far. In front of the passenger seat maybe farther. Will cut out the last bit tomorrow. The cuddy is connected to the liner and married to the sides. I hinted to my son that someone might give us the same boat center consol. He said DO IT. He bought the first boat with money he had from a pony when he was littler. We wanted the money to stay in the entertainment catagorie. Today he was watching utube videos of striper fishing in RI. So far I have done everything I can with this boat. But as I have said from the beginning it has to be safe!
So far Sort of like the layers of on onion....
