I want to become a meteorologist!!!!!!!!! I don't know any other profession that you can be so wrong and still keep your job.
We ended up getting about 2" with nothing left on the roads this morning. Luckily, they were wrong in our favor this time. I'm watching the news this morning and the guy's scrambling trying to explain why this was such a difficult storm to predict and why things didn't play out as he claimed they would. ::)

I'm no meteorologist (but I DID stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night -- just kiddin'), but I have always had a keen interest in the weather -- goes hand-in-hand with being a boater, I guess. I've also taken some spotter courses. Anyways, I just want to put in a good word for those guys as I actually think they do a pretty good job, and have come a long way in the past 20+ years. Meteorology is part science and part art as there are just too many dang variables to get it right every time. Frankly I'm always amazed when, 2 days out, they forecast a front coming through in the "early evening" or some such time, and sure enough it comes on through like clockwork. I know on my section of the coast, probably like most others, weather systems do some pretty crazy stuff when they get near or to the coastline, like big rain storms suddenly dissipating to nothing. Wouldn't life (and weather watching) be boring if we knew exactly what it was going to do every day? Oh well, just my $0.02 worth. I hope you guys get spring soon!

I have trailered to him a few times and he has been to the vineyard a few times.
The plan is that he is going to buy a boat soon and he will be the north shore guy and I will be the south shore guy. When we bass, cod, etc up his way we will go in his boat and when we fluke bass etc here we Will use my boat. Going to be a great marriage!! :-*
