Who cares?? Its going to hold all you need and them some! Runs great with a 150 to 200 and there is no need for anything more!

I was hit by a wave that filled it to the gunwales with 2 people and 400 pounds of fish in the thing and it still floated!

I am putting this questions up as the most useless asked question!!

Default Capacity important due to type of use

Hi, I appreciate your reply (albeit seemingly quite an attack) but the reason I am so concerned about capacity is the way I use my V20.

I do Mobile pumpout for a living. Therefore I probably put much more weight in my V20 than just for fishing. Engine weighs 425, 60gals of fuel weighs 420lbs, pump and tanks weigh 200, I weigh 150...and **** is 10/lbs a gallon. So 100 gallons is 1000lbs and 150 is 1500lbs.

I was hoping after watching the board for the last nine months of ownership of my V20 and loving it, and seeing the comraderie on the board, that I would have been able to join the community, be welcomed and receive a little help on my research.

I do not understand why you think its the dumbest question you have ever seen, and appreciate that is your opinion. However when I was raised, I was taught that if you dont have anything nice to say, it is often best not to say anything at all. That being said, your opinion is your opinion and while I disagree with it, will defend your right till the death to have your opinion, as all Americans should.

Happy Holidays.

Bummer the community/administrator is so not open to new members asking for help.....really sours me on the community...I simply have a different use than fishing for my v20 cuddy, so was very concerned about the manufacturers capacity rating.....for safety reasons, and couldnt find any info out...so i wrote the above post, which apparently was useless and stufpid and pissed off the admin.......

Here is my reply back to him on the thread he created to humiliate me....so much for the welcoming community.

Well you had a good question and sorry you feel that way or took it that way, but my response was for the 11th time this year that this question was asked!! No one ever does a search to see if the question has been asked before they ask
This is why I made the comment not because you asked. Have a great time here and I have always said there is no dumb question, except the same one asked 50 times

Default Thanks for the reply

Thanks macojoe, and im sorry too...think im just really touchy as this insurance thing has been a nightmare...and was also considering changing to a whaler with the settlement. But I have chosen to go with an etec 150, and am glad to be staying with the v20 cuddy and the v20 community.

I searched all around (apparently not in the right place) to find 88 v20 cuddy info on capacity...sorry i didnt find it, i do get its frustrating to see the same thing over and over. If you perhaps come across it again and can send me a direct link that would be awesome, but understand if your busy.

Anyways, thanks again....and if your ever around the sfbay let me know and Ill make sure to buy ya a beer. Rich

Rich,

When drinking those beers with MJ be sure to ask his opinion on trailer brakes, and what kind of truck Charlie the Tuna should buy.

I was wondering why all the chatter on this subject. Yes, there have been many threads on this before, didn't realize it was becoming a "fun topic"...

That's just MJ being MJ; the gruff ol moderator we all had to learn to love.

(actually he is truly a great guy)

Welcome to the site...
