I use a Moeller Marine Clear Site filter in my boat. Like the Racor it has a clear bowl under the filter that you can see any water/crap in it. Unlike the Racor, it has larger fuel inlets and outlets, so there is less restriction in your fuel line. To clean it you just open the drain on the bottom to purge the garbage. It's a 10 Micron filter and truthfully I've had no problems with bad fuel since installing the unit. For anyone that's interested, here's a link to their site.
