I live here in the NE but was in Gulfport in April just before thew oil let go!
Valiant200 on this board lives there and we chartered a guy in LA and caught some nice Trout and Reds.

Hope there are still some places to fish there??

Just about all of the fishing is closed in the Mississippi Sound at this time due to the BP Oil Gusher. Just yesterday, the first tarballs were reported at Pascagoula, Deer Island, the beach in Biloxi near Rodenberg and extending to about Edgewater Mall in various places, and even all the way west to Long Beach harbor. The oil scourge has finally arrived in South Mississippi.

So there will be no fishing in the sound for a while. The Biloxi Back Bay is still open for fishing as far as I know, just the offshore waters are closed now.
