Schools, I also have a "dream" boat I hope I someday can get, a Bertram-31.
But, if I can`t find the time, ( much less the money to have somebody else do it for me ), to change a simple switch or a screw on my single O.B. V20, jejeje,.... "snap sound" !!! ......
I suddenly wake up and find myself having the greatest time, Budweiser on Hand, Smile on Face, on the boat gatherings on my beloved and always admired old V20...,
"La Cuchuca" = no monthly payments, no worries about market value, no dependency on diesel mechanics, no need for extra crew to handle her anywhere, can trailer her and leave her anywhere, no a.c. voltages to worry about, no bathroom macerator pumps to go bad when "I really have to go now" !!!, no worries about pretty but false girls that stick around because of my big expensive boat, no worries about expensive Marina fees, no dependency on Marina/Dock fuel service ( use portable red gas tanks ), no switches to go bad ( even the NAV lights are wired to the Master Batt. Switch, no A/C unit to quit working ever, no kitchen ( love this one, no cooking = no wasted talking, meeting, drinking time ), no dinghy, no space for unneeded mother-in-laws on overnights, kids can "happily" vomit on the deck because there is no carpet, scratches on paint or wood... what the heck... those are just footprints of a fun and no worry days with friends.... and I could find more reasons....

i have a good friend with a Bertram 46.6 nice boat and it's a fishing machine. the Bertram make dirty water like a Hatteras when fishing. i've fished that 46.6 some and it is a nice ride this is the first yr in several that she didn't fish the Big Rock. right now it's at 70 West Marina having the bottom scraped and then re-bottom coated. it's for sale she's asking $199,000. it's named Reel Heel II

here's a pic of the Bertram 46.6

here's a picture of another 46.6 Bertram

Skools, with all due respects, is "she" single ? I could be a good First Mate I think !!! If "she" is married or engaged, delete my last !!!!
But of course, this has nothing to do with me wanting to have a bigger boat !!!! jejeje....

lol sorry she's married but she has several nice boats and quick to say they are mine her hubby doesn't even use them. hey it's best to have friends with bigger boats then you fish and go home no worries of it once you leave the dock.

I would like to experience this first hand before writing this off as a worry...
