Default My gas gauge isn't working

Hello all,

I have a 1993 V21 and the gas gauge is electronic. My father in law is an electrician and he fixed all the electrical on the boat. However the gas gauge is still blinking empty even though it has a full tank of gas. He's telling me it's probably the sending unit in the tank itself. If this is in fact the case has anyone ever had to fix this same issue? If so could you please explain how to fix it? Hopefully I'm not the first to tackle this issue. It's amazing how important the gas gauge becomes after a few hours out on the water!!

Thats easy, its broken! Ohm out the sender first. If that tests out okay then move onto the gauge. Next step is the wiring but doubt its that unless theres corrosion involved.
