Default Mercruiser 470 and complete outdrive

This came out of my 1979 V20......good running mercruiser 470 with external alternator kit with wagner 1 wire heavy duty marine alternator, electronic ignition, also complete outdrive and many extra parts to boot....
Extra Parts included:
Starter, Fuel Pump, Distributer, intake manifold, head, carb, 2 voltage regulators, gasket sets etc....extra prop, so 2 good props total, Hyd Trim Pump....etc..interupter switch...linkages etc...plus more misc stuff.

The motor has 1480 hours and is a 1979 compression is good in all cyl.... Outdrive has a fresh rebuild and is in great shape..upper and lower... There are a couple issues to disclose... the alt bracket is cracked and has a the bolt broke off in the block I havent had time to fix it, The exhaust manifold is rusted up....doesn't leak or get hot...but it needs a new one someday

....The reason I am getting rid of this set up: The coupler went out so I had to pull the engine/ drive etc...I decided when it was out that Im not putting her back in.....I am going to put either a diesel inboard direct drive shaft and stuffing box,,,(SS shaft, w/ bronze prop..) unit in the boat or a gil bracket outboard set up......

I will trade everything for a decent outboard of equal value... I also would like a Gil bracket...or a small marine diesel and drive unit 40 - 70 hp...the type in old sailboats etc... I welcome trades.... Outboard must be at least a 125... preferably 150 - 175 - 200..oil injection.. I dont like to mix gas...or a 4 stroke...lower hp is fine

As far as cash goes make me a reasonable offer...
I am the second owner of this boat and motor and it has been good but I am going to make some changes..I want the deck room and I want cheaper fuel economy.. I troll alot... I also hate kickers and want to troll with my main more... so thats why I am considering a diesel direct.. I like interesting projects so the diesel would be fun,,,and not my first conversion..this is a great parts set up for someone with 470 i/o power.....these parts are expensive as you all know....so if you have a 470 in your boat and an outboard laying around lets talk...

I am located in Half Moon Bay, CA
Thanks,
Mike
