Everyone, I am talking about WINTER FLOUNDER, not Fluke (summer flounder). I have some friends who would like to do a fishing trip, I just don't understand all these responses. All I am asking is, if they do any Winter Flounder fishing in the Chesapeake, not in NJ, L.I. or Staten Island.
HAVE A HAPPY HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!
Too answer your question, no. Your best bet is out of Wachapreague Va. late March if it warms up by then.......

Flounder fishing can be quite good in the Southern Chesapeake Bay, but the seaside ports of VA are a better bet. From Chincoteague south to Quimby are all great waters. Wachapreague is the hub of the seaside flounder fishery. These are my home waters and makes up a large percentage of my fishing. Pick a day from April 1 to May 15 and it should be on. Fishing does start in March, but the weather makes it very unpredictable.

Airslot & Dmoore, thanks for that info !! Do you know of any places where we could rent a skiff or a good head boat (party)??? We will not be taking our boats.
