Hey, what kind of pump are you running to make 78 mph? I've never heard of anybody breaking 65 mph on a 440 pump. The stock ones just can't move enough water. I don't even know if a 750 pump can push a ski much past 65.

PJS race pump 440 style shaft so i can run aluminum shaft. it can be done you just have to spend the money if you are going to race you better have the best. it's been along time since my old girl was raced but she is still full race modified. they made a supercharger for the old piston port 440 / 550 motors. it was built by Parks Performance in Ohio.no you won't out of a 750 pump to big of an outlet. the 440 pump when bored was the best cause it had the smaller outlet to get more speed. use a JetSplyn output cone on a bored 440 pump and twin roller bearing set up you can acheive much more speed than with a 550 or a 750 pump. Parks had a 550 that ran in the upper 70's on fresh water. it takes a ton of motor to run those speeds and RPM's you need all parts lightened like the aluminum flywheel drive shaft and lighted welded crank. you will need a vari prop from 15 to 17 pitch. when you bore a 550 out to a 575 and then twin 44mm carbs, MSD Ign. and a supercharger you can get those speeds.

Now that is an interesting thought,
take two jet skis, cut them off and mount them like
brackets on the back end?
Tie them together like dual engines for steering.

I wonder if they would push a V ok,
how fast would it go
and what kind of gas milage you would get?
