Default Gas Cap for 87 V20

Lost my gas cap for my 1987 V20 yesterday. Does anyone have one for sale, or know where I can buy one?

My 1991 V20 cuddy has a "Perko" brand gas cap/fitting. Not sure whether you could purchase the cap alone or whether you would need to buy the fitting with the cap.

I just googled Perko gas cap and, if your fill fitting is a Perko brand, West Marine has a replacement cap for $10.49 and a replacement locking cap for $37.99. There were lots of other google hits for the same thing, but I did not look much.

What is the size of the fuel hose? Is it 1 1/2'?
I am going to replace the whole fixture.

Good idea on total replacement...make sure the cap is GROUNDED to the tank...1 1/2" is right...

My current cap was a rubber/plastic top (black) with metal threads in an out. Did the boat come with the cap grounded to the tank?
What is the purpose of this? Shock?

Discharges static electricity...occasionally fires off a spark when the metal gas nozzle is about to contact the filler...w/the gas fumes present sometimes they ignite...grounded to the tank, it won't go POOPH!!...

The cap and filler fitting on mine clearly said "Perko" on each. Have you taken a good look to see if you can find a brand name?
