BR,

As Always, Thanks again for a great weekend of fishing.

I am ready for the BIG Sheepshead @ the offshore reefs in a few weeks.

it's completely beyond me how someone can get in so close and run over your line.....somebody fighting a fish on a boat is the most unmistakable sight you can see on the water. Sounds like a great trip.

RW - we could not believe it. The guys next to us could not believe it. Fly nearly broke his rod in half slamming it on the gunnel afterward.

Take away the "Shut Up" caption, this was Fly:

.....and rightfully so!

CTT - the macks have several short lasting drag pulling hard runs, the last of which happens at the side of the boat. The blues have a more constant pull, not really taking a lot of drag per say, but strong fighting. I was using 8lb mono mainline and 15 lb mono leader. Fly used 20 lb powerpro braid.

Willy, wish you were there too brother. The inshore conditions were spectacular despite the weather man calling for 2 - 3's & gusts to 20 knots which never materialized, thankfully. You could tell it was a good bit rougher a few miles out.

I forgot to mention we got nearly 2 dozen big ol blue crabs in my crab pot. I gorged myself with claws monday night. Good times! Too bad Fly has a nasty allergic reaction to shellfish....he can't eat shrimp, oysters, clams, crabs, etc. etc. That would be a living hell! He eats the hell outta fish though.
