Gas gauge ???

I used this one in the link and it was pretty easy to install. You just remove the old unit, measure the tanks deep the tank, and then have to make one cut and put it together. I think it took me about a 1/2 hour but I did measure everthing twice before I made the simple hacksaw cut.

Stillrunning, That is the exact unit I used in my 28' Silverton. I must have checked 100 times before cutting, but still I didn't get it right. It served me well anyway, as I always had an idea what was in the tank. Besides, I guess it may just be me, but I don't trust fuel gauges. Normally I would just install a Floscan, but $$$ is tight this time around. Thanks.

This is what it looks like with the sending unit magnetic part attached.....

After removing the magnetic part of the sending unit...

It is just a bowl looking area that the magnetic part sits in. When it gets dirty it does not make good contact and will read incorrectly..

MC, NO WONDER YOU'RE A GOD, MY GAS GAUGE HAS NOT WORKED FOR THE LAST 20 YRS. i JUNT FILL THE TANK EVERYTIME WHEN I RETURN, THAT WAY I AVOID HUMIDITY IN THE GAS AND ANY WORRIES WHEN I GO OUT.

Take a look at the link I put up for the sender with no moving parts to foul up, it's at the beginning of the thread....
