Shrimpboats

Hey Spareparts,
I know you look at these threads every now and then, so I wanted to ask for a favor! I am looking forward to my visit and getting those parts from you, and while I am in the area I would like to explore some local commercial docks where shrimp boats tie up. I have always had a thing for them and try to visit and have a look around and take some pics of them...I can't seem to find out where any of the docks might be. Do you or any of the other guys have some suggestions where I might find some while I am in the area?

most of them are at Shem Creek, home of the over priced meal, theres not much to look at. there are more out toward Folly Beach

you have shrimp boats out of the wazoo about 1.5 hrs from you.

Yeah I know!
I have been down through that area a lot and have gotten to know some of the owners.. I have a ton of pictures from that area. It is one of my favorite road trips to go down the bayou and visit all of the boats and the docks...Beautiful area...Headed back that way soon maybe around October......Are you down there? Maybe we can meet and you can fill me in on some local info?

cool man, when the time gets closer shoot me a PM. I should be working down in Larose by then. Fourchon marina has a couple of boats there usually too if you are going that far down. Also alot of boats park in bayou rigoud "sp" on the back side of grand isle.
