Fuel Problem

Thanks Spareparts,I will check at the weekend.It is blowing a gale and lashing rain here at the moment,tail end of hurricane Bill.Went out to the boat this evening to check mooring before this hit.Tried starting engine and it went straight away.I am going to fit the electric pump,I still think it is the main cause of my problems..hat are these siphon things that you mention?
