Wow, your boat really does look terrific. What was going on with all the debris in the boat before you restored it?

Believe it or not the latest onslaught of yuck was brought on by Ike. The boat did go through Katrina And managed sort of OK, Then Gustave which also caused Minor damage, but of all things Ike took her off the trailer and totally filled the boat with Yuck. Also caused the original owner to decide he was done repairing. The fuel tank had 55 gallons of fuel and 5 gallons of unidentifiable sludge. Under all the sawgrass was the last earthly remains of a large gray squirrel. Every wire was green and fuzzy I stripped the harness and started fresh. Surprisingly almost every thing worked! The bilge pump, float switch, transom, and most every thing else is good to go. Strange how some of the worst storms didn't really get her, then a marginal one did. Gotta tell you though, any boats been through 3 hurricanes in basically 3 1/2 years and is still ticking is a pretty serious testament to it's construction. WOW! Awsome! I can't help but wonder if we will run across each other one day as I'm in Kenner and run all over the place with mine. I will try to attach a pic of mine. I have the 87 C/C and have had it since brand new! I would never dream of parting with her! I too have been amazed at the durability and construction as well as the handling of my 87. Wellcraft owners are a proud bunch! I hope to be able to catch up to you one day and swap boat stories and tips. Tommy..DSCN3121.jpg |

I gotta tell ya the Bright white of the 87's looks very differant than the antique white? I have on the 88.Very nice V Rabbitfish that looks like Williams launch? I spent most of my life in Metairie I probably would remember seeing that boat.
