Default First trip of the season

5 am at my house Sunday morning,Kenny, CB, and Mark we ll headed out of a area called Tempest Knob, Headed for Buzzards Bay and what is called Cleavland Ledge. Looking for Scup (Porgies) and Black Sea bass.
Stiff wind out of the SW with water 2 to 3 feet and a few larger, and Foggy as hell.
This is was only my 2nd time out of here in 15 years so I have no idea were I am going except whats on the GPS. I was going slow and following the bouys Mark was getting a bit frustrated That I was going along slow and started telling me were to go and to the point that he is playing with the GPS so I said hey you want to do it go ahead!! I went in the cabin.
Ndext thing CB grabs the wheel slams the gas and we are off! BAM off the top of a wave that dam near broke my back and sent me to the floor on my knees!! After a quick ck to see if I was still alive we were off. CB got us to are spot in short order!! I came out from my hide away and Kenny layed out the anchor.
Mark threw out the chum pot and the fishing began. I did not fish as I just had a heart attack (LOL) and just wanted to relax. Mark, Kenny, and CB were puling fish over the side non stop at times and double headers! Lots of fooling around and good times! The joke of the day was me and my heart attack, every time they asked me for something or what ever I would yell out I just had a heart attack!! In the end we were all saying it, CB just could not stop laughing every time some one said it!!
We were back at the ramp at noon with well over 100 pounds of fish, we all took are fill and sold the rest at market to pay for are gas.
It was a great day!!Can't wait till the Fluke open on June 10!

Pretty snotty day. Lot of laughs. Plenty of fish for the table including a nice Tautog I got at the end of the trip. Good times, good friends. Thanks MJ.

Just to set the record straight, there is nothing at all relaxing about being on the water and/or fishing with MJ. Nothing!
