Thanks for the info! I'm going to take the aluminum cap off to take a look at the transom's wood condition. If it's good I'll definatly go with this jack plate because it will save me a ton of work. I've replaced a couple of transoms and don't feel like messing with another one if it can be helped. Thanks again!
