I had a 86 23ft cutty cabin that I purchased out of upstate New York. It had a OMC Cobra 4.3 V 6 that topped out at 39 MPH and was very fuel efficient. However, I ended up getting rid of it because it rode very hard in the bay. Check the boats dead rise. Mine had little angle which made for great fuel economy and one really lousy ride. Kamikaze
