As I said I am very fortunate to have been spared any major damage. We got power back Monday night (4 days) but the home across the street from me had the lines ripped off the pole and is still out.

Most around here burn heating oil or natural gas to run hot water heating. I am still running an old oil/steam system though. If you can power the burner then you can get heat. I wired mine to my generator the first night. It got below 20 degrees outside Friday night and but it warmed up after that. If it dropped for a couple of days then burst pipes are an issue. Neighboors house got down to 40 degrees without heat.
