monday night was a skunk, we anchored @ the highrise at the same spot as saturday night but, no action. towards the end of the outgoin, the whitecaps were getin steeper so we pulled up and headed back in. we made sure to swing wide to stay off the shoal, but it was still sloooo goin and we had a couple come over the bow. once 1/2 way in we realized we forgot to switch tanks and lost power, the battery had drained too much and we tried rope startin her w/no sucess. i noticed the battery switch was selected for just one battery, after both batteries switched on , we were able to regain power again. THEN as we got closer to lynnhaven it flattened out enough to get some speed goin only to loss power again, but this time in the shipping channel. after a few tries it restarted and away we went. we figured the fuel filter as the culprit as she stayed running at slo speed. its a long story i know but , thats the way it goes when a normal 30min trip took 1.5 hrs. csvencer, you may have, we launch from the public ramp @ crabcreek I did talk to a guy w/ a `75 i/o V20 as he was launching, was that you? |
