If it's the rear pinion seal, they are easy......but if you over or under tighten the pinion nut the rear will roar at different speeds. Other people will tell you that you are damaging the gears when in reality you are changing the wear locations in the gears.
Try as best as you can to measure, count the revolutions of the nut and notice where the nut is tightened to before removal.
I've done the rear in my "96 Cherokee (forgot which rear it had) and the bearings, seals and pinion seal in my wifes "80 CJ which has an AMC20 rear.
