Let me see if I follow the logic here, we have elected govenors of small states, including clinton to the whitehouse after they turned their state into welfare soaked hole in which good old boy politics and actual government corruption was the day to day reality, and here we have a conservative woman, who is smart as a wip, comes from down to earth people and has done wonderful things for her state, has bucked her own party to do the right thing DOZENS of times. Has a deep connection to her family, citizens of the state she lives and a great love of the U.S. and is proud of that, has an 80% approval rating by her constituents and you guys would not consider her for VP.
WTF
Is it she has no foreign policy experience?
Well quite frankly bill clinton had zero, thats right zero foreign policy experience when he was elected the the Presidency.
Margaret Thatcher had zero, zero foreign policy experience when she was elected to prime minister of england.
Ronald Reagan had zero, zero.
If you want your daughters to see what a bright intelligent woman can turn out to be, I think you might want to reconsider your position. She goes into that office with more in common with all of us here than any candidate in my memory, she is honest and trustworthy and if you think she cannot grasp that job as well as anyone else going into that position you are either underestimating her or possibly would prefer just to see a liberal type person in that position. Which if that is the case so be it, but reconsideration is in order when you consider she has about as much experience and qualification for her job as obama has for his.

Willy- Have you watched any of the Couric interviews? I am not saying you have to be a model public speaker to be VP but come on...

Interesting read with sources, I like sources...

Interesting link Svence. I was initially very impressed with Ms. Palin, but each day I become more convinced we would be in very deep trouble with her as VP, let alone President.

If Palin becomes VP she stands a 20% ++ chance of becoming the president of the united states during McCain's presidency.

She's a dandy lady but heck so is Mrs. Blue. The difference is Mrs. Blue has enough sense not to run for VP. Mrs. Blue even has foreign policy experience - she has been to Canada.

Thursday is going to be interesting. Maybe she will surprise us all but its not looking good. JMO

As long as she's reading from a telepromter she does fine. On her own you don't know what you're going to get. Thursday should be interesting. They'll probably pass a resolution, McCain will claim it's his idea and Palin will only talk about how great John is.

Vote November 4th! Billy Mac

ok besides having a different religious view from her, can you tell me two things that barrack has done in order for him to be qualified to be commander in chief? community organier does not count because its very easy to organize people who believe the same thing you do, thats easy.

Okay, how's this one...
It's Just 143 Days....

143 days

·You couldn't get a job at McDonald's and become district manager after 143 days of experience.
·You couldn't become chief of surgery after 143 days of experience ofbeing a surgeon.
·You couldn't get a job as a teacher and be the superintendent after 143 days of experience.
·You couldn't join the military and become a colonel after 143 days of experience
·You couldn't get a job as a reporter and become the nightly anchor after 143 days of experience.

BUT***8230;

From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United State Senator, to the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory committee, he logged 143 days of experience in the Senate. That's how many days the Senate was actually in session and working.
After 143 days of work experience, Obama believed he was ready to be Commander In Chief, Leader of the Free World...143 days

We all have to start somewhere. The Senate is a good start, but a fter 143 days, that's all it is - a start.

AND, strangely, a large sector of the American public is alright with this and campaigning for him. We wouldn't accept this in our own line of work, yet some are fine with this for the President of the United States of America? Come on folks, we are not voting for the next American Idol.

AMAZING ISN'T IT!!
THINK ON THIS!

Broc, whatever he's still the best choice for the average American. Mc Cain with all his experience just does nothing for me. Billy Mac
