Nice canopy i will have in mind to see if i can get it.
Just now i separate the trailer from the boat to prepare things up.

I need to replace several rust parts on the trailer and i need an economic place to buy the parts from, like the 8 Vertical Bunk Brackets and a few square U-bolts, also i will need some tires.

My bottom was in the same condition. I used West system and then painted the bottom
with barrier coat and with black bottom coat.

Hnnn, I think MJ is right. I now do remember doing alot of painting. : ) on my V hull.
But dont worry, its not hard to do and not that much. Look at my gallery, I think I have a few before and after pics.
As far as all the nicks, dings, and chunks missing out of the bottom, easy fix. Go to West Marine and get some West system, cloth. Sand with 80 grit. Mix the West system, brush some on the hull and also wet the cloth with west system as well and apply. Its easy to use.
Once dry, sand fine. Sand the entire hull down with 80 git. Also use a dewaxer.
Barrier coating is a two part mix. I put four coats on my hull. But two should be fine.
Bottom paint within a day or two. If you dont, you will have to lightly sand thehull again.

West System kit and cloth. 100.00
Barrier coat. 80 bucks a kit.
Bottom paint 150.00
Keep us posted on your progress.
Any other help, email me and I will call ya.
Best of luck. If I can do it, you can as well.
Hammer.

NO !!, use boat bottom paint. If ya gonna keep it on a trailer, they have boat trailer bottom paint. The paint doesnt come off like anti fouling paint. Thats the paint that wears off every season. One gallon of black bottom paint should just be enough.
The barrier coat primer paint comes in a kit. You should get two coats on with one kit.
Nice V, Looks like mine before I did all the work to it. Dont give up. Keep working on it and post Pics.
