Default Re: when converting i/o to outboard --

Well now thats a good question!!
I saved a list of parts that I bought when I did it so I would no these answers!!
I had a computer melt down a few months ago and I guess i lost it >:( I thought I had it on a disk but I can't find it >:(

What I will tell you is that you have to measure from the middle of the steering wheel, to the side of the boat and then all the way to the back, then threw the hole to the motor.
They will then tell you to add like 2 feet to that. I did not add anything!! I made a good measure and used it. The way they do it, it will leave you with to much cable to hide.
I just bought the Safety T steering, but a lot of people are going to the No Feed back Steering (NFB), its only $50 more.
I have no problem with my steering!! I can even drive with no hands and it tracks nice!! But with the NFB steering its only 3 turns side to side which will give you a much quicker responding helm.
I will go out tomorrow and take a measurement and let you no. I have a 28" set back and I think I bought something like 19 or 20 feet??
