I forget which thread it was in, but several people have questioned what would being a POW would have to do with being a President. I would ask any of interested to research James B Stockdale, and or read his book " In Love and War". You may remember him being Ross Peroit's running mate. What he lacked in public debate forum during the election, he would have made up for in office.

read his book, if what he did, before, during and after doesn't show leader ship, I don't know what does. His time as a pow didn't teach him to be a leader, it only proved his leader ship, make sure to follow up on his actions and deeds after he was released as well. As a side note, its interersting to see his view point of the politics involved in starting the Vietnam War over trumped up events that never actually occured(he was the pilot in the Gulf Of Tonkin Incident)
