I would ask any of interested to research James B Stockdale, and or read his book " In Love and War". You may remember him being Ross Peroit's running mate. What he lacked in public debate forum during the election, he would have made up for in office.

We owe men like John McCain more than we'll ever be able to repay them...but that does not mean that just because they suffered the hell they did, that automatically entitles them to control of our country or that the time they spent gave them the wisdom to run it...anymore than the time Kerry spent as a soldier entitled him or imparted the wisdom to him to properly run this country...
