Default Towing tubes/skiers

How do you guys hook up ropes to pull tubes? We mostly fish but my kids would like for me to pull them on tubes as well and I am not sure how to attach the rope.

Mostly depends on the boat size to the size of what is pulled.
As teenagers we were able to ski behind a 25hp McKee type boat with a Y-harness and floating roller attached to the rear lifting eyes, then the rope attached to that. All this did was reduce or stop the irratic tugging on the boat by centering the weight.
On something the size of the V, we would run the rope thru one rear lifting eye and loop over the cleat.

use the harness that attaches to the eyes on your transom as mentioned by Tsubaki and and a ski rope or tubing rope (usually shorter). West Marine sells them.

There are a lot of different ones and different length lines depending on what you are doing. Water skiing, tubing, wake boarding, knee boards....

Thanks guys, that is what I was thinking but I wasn't sure. That setup from west marine looks to be the ticket. The only thing that scares me is the sound of money running out of my wallet to feed the two thirsty five pulling kids all day.

Don't have any pics...you can just barley see it in the pick below, but I put a removable tow-pole just in front of the splashwell...works GREAT!!

I have a y harness that I use. Got it from West Marine. However, years ago my Dad had something I think works better, and I have seen them around but not at West Marine. Basically it is the same as a y harness, but there is a pulley/float device in the middle which switches side to side when the tube or skier goes to the side of the boat. I think that setup works a lot better.

Get the most from your gas dollars by pulling two tubes at a time. I hook one on each lifting eye on the back and then loop them around the cleat on each side to keep the rope out of the water better. I can drag all 3 kids at once that way.
