I came home from a week off to listen to a message on my answering machine. The nice girl that works in our marina's office said that a man had inquired about the Pipe Dream, wondering if he could contact the owner because he'd like to buy it. She gave me his name and phone number and said I only needed to call him back if I wanted to. As a courtesy I called him back to tell him no, she's not for sale. He told me he was staying at the RV park and walking the marina when he noticed our boat, and as he's been looking for a V-20 he thought he'd take a chance that she was for sale. He said he could tell I'd sunk some money into her, and I said that yes, I had and that's why she's not for sale -- I could never recoup my investment! But I thanked him for the compliment. It really made my day!

I hear you and I agree. I'm always saying that everything has a price. Except my dogs. I just know that if I'd told him (or anyone) what I'd take for the ol' PD they'd bust a gut laughing.
