Could very well be low burn#s. The flowscan was existing when I bought the boat. I now have over 600 hrs. on the motor, still runs like the day I bought it. Not sure if the floscan was ever calibrated, I never did do it. It had a 1-20 gph gauge and the fuel sensor just hung by the fuel line. I have a NorthStar F210 sitting, waiting to hookup, maybe I will do it soon. Reading the directions, the sensor needs to be mounted in a certain direction, not sure about the old Floscan.
Its not the gas thats the problem. Ever since my mechanic changed the VRO, I have doubled my oil rate. He-my mechanic said the motor is like new, but the new pumps are a flat 50-1 rate, not like the old variable rate VRo. But I swear, I burn a gallon of oil every 25-30 gallons of gas.
For a 100 bucks, it might be worth a look at the Northstar F210, for that
2 thirsty five.
