Default some pics of my project ...

thought i would take a stab at posting some pics .. i have already posted quite a few questions and gotten great response here so far ..

i have learned that PICS ARE REQUIRED!!!!!!

she's a little rough .. but i cannot wait to get started. as i have said before .. i have had much experience with cars .. completely disassembled a 73 camaro and repowered the car with drivetrain from a late model camaro with fuel injection, 6 speed manual trans, 4 whl disc brakes, power everything, etc. paint, body, suspension, interior all done.

hopefully i can do a halfway decent job on this boat as it is my first one. with all of your help, i have confidence.

here are some pics of the current state of affairs....

now for a couple of items i have bought for the project so far ...

hope this works and satisfies the photo gods!!!!!

Brad

Brad it looks like an excellent hull to start with. What I really like is the transom is already in place with the bracket. Does it have storage built in? Every CC I have found so far in my search I will need to fill in the transom.

Good luck and keep us posted and pictured out.

guys .. thanks for the replies... cant wait to get out on the water with my 3 daughters (9,7,2) and catch some fish.

chesapeake ... yes it does have 2 storage bins in the transom area with removable wells .. they are small and i am missing one of the wells ..

anyone know where i can find a replacment well?

lumber .. i will definately need some help with the cleaning up aspect of the project.. i see you get some ribbing from time to time about how you keep your boat ... well, i am the exact same way. nothing makes me happier than to have something older that looks brandy new ....!!

one question ... which taco rub rail did you get for your boat and where .. mine is quite beat up and i want to change it out. yours looks great!!

willy .. thanks for the compliment.. i hope it comes out as good as the pics i have in my head.

That is a nice looking boat! As for the storage bins, I think some have found small trashcans at Walmart or the like that fit right in there.

Now, how about some pics of the Camero.

Did they come with 2 bins?, I only have 1 too.
With the one I have I always have to remove it to prime the bulb, and If I move it to the other side I have to take it out to get to the battery switch.
They are great little storage containers.
If you happen to find 1 that fits at walmart or something can you post a link, or pic?.

That is a nice looking boat.

I believe they only came with one insert for the wells... I only have one too... I keep it on the port side so that I can have easy access to the battery switch on the starboard side.

Looks like it doesn't have hydraulic steering; that could be a bonus for you since you might be able to use the existing steering cable and helm. And if you get a Johnson or Evinrude, you might be good to go on the throttle and shifter cables too.
